Growing up in a musical family, Buddy Guy was exposed to the sounds of blues and jazz from an early age. He began playing the guitar at 13 and quickly developed a unique playing style that blended elements of blues, rock, and R&B. After dropping out of high school, Guy moved to Chicago to pursue a career in music. It was there that he met his idol, Muddy Waters, who became a mentor and friend.
