Once you've identified an aircraft you want, download the file to your computer. Most files will have either .RFX or .G3X extensions. Do not attempt to unzip or extract these files, as RealFlight expects them in their original archived format.

This one didn't.

You downloaded a plane made for RF 8 or RF 9. Fix: Do not try to force it. Instead, look for a version tagged “RF 6.5/7.5”. Alternatively, open the .RFX in a text editor (notepad) – if the first line says “Version 9.00”, it’s too new.
