Sophos, McAfee, and Windows Defender often quarantine ds_client.exe or lsapi.dll . Temporarily disable real-time protection or add an exclusion for C:\Program Files\Accelrys (or BIOVIA ).
This is typically a graphics driver issue. Ensure you are using a supported graphics card with certified drivers. If you have an NVIDIA card, verify that the security module (PAM) has not changed permissions on the NVIDIA device files (see the NVIDIA README for details). As a temporary fix, disable hardware acceleration in the 3D window preferences, though this will reduce graphics performance.
