In 1997, he launched his flagship series, The premise was both simple and controversial: Woodman, posing as a modeling agent or photographer, would interview young, inexperienced, and often naive women in a hotel room. The footage would begin as a legitimate interview but would progressively and aggressively steer toward explicit sexual acts. The series was a massive commercial success. By 2011, it was reported that Woodman had produced well over a thousand DVDs for his Casting X series and had conducted over 7,000 such castings. The series was distributed first by Private and later by Larry Flynt’s Hustler label under the name "Hustler Casting Couch.".
