Instead of forcing players to crowd around a single keyboard, Keyboard Splitter operates on a simple principle: it creates up to four virtual Xbox 360 controllers. Each virtual controller is then exclusively assigned to one physical keyboard. When you press a key on your keyboard, that signal is captured, blocked from reaching the rest of Windows, and instead fed directly into its assigned virtual controller slot. Your game, which sees these virtual Xbox controllers as if they were real, now recognizes each keyboard as a separate player.
