Lea had never considered herself a naturist. At home, she had no problem with nudity, but the thought of being seen without clothes by strangers made her nervous. “ J’étais un peu stressée au départ ,” she later recalled. “ À la maison je n’ai pas de problème avec la nudité mais j’avais peur du regard des autres .” [10†L11-L13] She was afraid of being judged, of not having the “perfect” body she saw in advertisements and on social media.
