Years later, the idea was revived. Mahesh Bhatt decided to breathe new life into the project, but in a completely different form. A new, script was written, using the same core cast of Saif Ali Khan and Twinkle Khanna. Ashwini Bhave's role was dropped. The film was completely re-shot and given a new title: Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan (This is Mumbai, My Sweetheart). However, the filmmakers did keep a significant piece of the original Mr. Aashiq : the songs that had already been filmed were retained and incorporated into the new movie, a fact that becomes noticeable as the actors' appearances and looks sometimes vary between the song sequences and the rest of the film. mr aashiq movie

Raju manages to secure an entry-level position at a prestigious firm owned by Mr. Malhotra.
