If your Tenda D305 does not have internet access, or if the online upgrade fails due to a slow or unstable connection, the Local Upgrade method gives you full control. You manually download the firmware file and upload it through the router’s web interface.
What to expect for the TENDA D305
Tenda sometimes releases different hardware revisions (e.g., V1, V2) for the same model name. Installing firmware meant for a different hardware version will break your device. Check the sticker on the bottom of your router to verify your exact hardware version.
