: The downloaded firmware file from Tenda will be in a .zip archive. You must extract this archive to find the actual firmware file, which will have a .bin or .trx extension.

After upgrade, log into router ( 192.168.0.1 ) and check:

If the browser page freezes or the progress bar doesn't move for an extended period (more than 10 minutes), do not turn off the router immediately. Some routers are slow to respond. First, check if the router's lights are still active. If it appears truly stuck, you can attempt a recovery process. The web page of the router wouldn't open. I disconnected the power and all the data (ethernet) cables. Connected the power cable and held the WPS/Reset button for two minutes. The router restarted a couple of times, and then I could reconnect. This is a hard reset method. If this fails, you may need to contact Tenda support.
