Finley lives on a farm with her cruel stepmother Valerian, her stepbrother Kale, and her stepsister Saffron. They force her to do all the chores and sleep in the cold barn, but she clings to her dream of becoming an actress. When the popular actor Jackson Stone comes to town to film a musical about Billy the Kid, Finley sees her chance. After sneaking onto the set and impressing Jackson with her singing and lasso skills, she is discovered and thrown off. However, she returns disguised as a boy, “Huck,” and lands a role. As “Huck,” she begins to develop a genuine connection with Jackson, all while keeping her true identity a secret from her family and the crew.

It’s a breezy, predictable watch that stays true to the "Cinderella formula" with a musical twist.
