A two-part epic, "The End of Time" is the fifth Christmas special and was broadcast on 25 December 2009 (Part 1) and 1 January 2010 (Part 2). It served as the swan song for David Tennant's Tenth Doctor and the end of Russell T Davies's first era as showrunner.
