The story follows (Abhishek Bachchan), a resident of Karol Bagh, Delhi, who loses a legal battle over his ancestral property. Seeking a new start, he moves to the village of Ranakpur with his sister, Sania (Asin), aided by their well-wisher, Shastri Chacha (Asrani).
