The story of Banda Los Recoditos begins in 1989 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. The group was formed by a group of young music students, many of whom were the sons and friends of members of the iconic Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga. It was Don Cruz Lizárraga himself who gave them the name "Los Recoditos," a nod to their famous parent band.
