King Asgore Dreemurr is not a villain. He is a deeply tragic figure: a grieving father and a reluctant king. Haunted by the deaths of his two children, Asriel and Chara, he declared war on humanity and swore to break the magical barrier imprisoning all monsters in the Underground. To do this, he needs the souls of seven humans. He already has six. Meeting you, the seventh human, is his grim, sorrowful duty. He carries this immense burden, but deep down, he is incredibly kind and hates fighting.
