Y La Odisea - La Iliada
A diferencia de la linealidad de La Ilíada , La Odisea juega con el tiempo narrativo. Los primeros cuatro libros (llamados La Telmaquia ) siguen a Telémaco, el hijo de Odiseo, que busca noticias de su padre. Recién en el libro V conocemos al héroe, atrapado en la isla de la ninfa Calipso.

The narrative structure is complex. After the divine assembly orders Calypso to release him, Odysseus is shipwrecked and rescued by the Phaeacians. He arrives naked and alone at their court, and for four days, he tells the story of his lost years: his battle with the , his encounter with the sorceress Circe , his journey to the Underworld, and his harrowing passage past the monsters Scylla and Charybdis. After his revelation, the Phaeacians help him return to Ithaca.
